The incredible book of Isaiah records the life and prophecies of Isaiah, whose prophetic ministry spanned over 50 years from about 740 to 686 B.C. When Jesus announced His ministry (Luke 4) he went to the synagogue in Nazareth and read from the scroll of the prophet Isaiah, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
